The Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) is an independent committee appointed by the UK Government. On the website, users can discuss various topics with the Comittee and with other users. The Committee indicated to use the discussion results in their "Final Report".

Additional Description:
The reason for the consultation is, that each UK citizen is also a financial stakeholder, since the Government has taken the liability for the wastes into public ownership. All UK taxpayers now bear the financial liability for the radioactive wastes produced in the past, present and future. The Committee has asked the users as well to comment their final report about the radioactive waste management. A new consultation about the Government's implementation proposals is planned for the first part of 2007.
Target Group:
All UK citizens who pay taxes
